Jennifer writes novels and short stories that draw on her love of history, music and mythology as she explores the stories left untold in conventional historical accounts.
Her  work as a social worker for many years provides her with a rich source of material to develop her colourful and complex characters and compelling plots. Her travels have taken her to beautiful and enchanting places, including Venice, London and the Highlands and Islands of Scotland – settings found in her work. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, Sociology and Social Work and lives and works a Kaurna land overlooking the fabulous Sturt Gorge Park.

Stolen:
A young girl strives to find her place in a world of half- truths and hidden conflicts.
Annese Laffer struggles under the weight of a punitive classroom, her only solace the untamed bush of early colonial South Australia. There she forges a secret friendship with an Aboriginal girl, Kiani.
Kiani and her entire family vanish overnight from their creekside home and the local landowner, a fellow Quaker and friend of Annese’s family, claims exclusive rights over access to the scarce water supply leading Annese to begin to question the integrity of her community.
After finding a mysterious letter in a discarded notebook she is accused of theft. Her mother loses her employment as a result and the already struggling family is torn apart.
Years later a tragic event reconnects her with Kiani. Her circumstances test Annese’s loyalties and determination to the limit when she realises she holds the evidence to ensure justice is delivered.

Missing Pieces : Inspired by the 1831 discovery of a hoard of priceless chess pieces on a remote Scottish Island, Missing Pieces tells the story of the women who created and protected the now famous artefacts. When Marianne is coerced into leaving the security of her comfortable London life to curate an exhibition on the Isle of Lewis, she uncovers her own ancestral connection to the mysterious island. Her eerie connections to the past introduce us to Magrit, the Icelandic artisan, beholden to a power-hungry bishop, Morven, the rescuer, who seeks intimacy with a mysterious stranger and Mhairi, the negotiator, fighting a greedy landlord to stave off starvation and eviction. Missing Pieces is a story about women’s determination, passion and cunning and the power of love to right the wrongs of the past.

Vivaldi's Lost Concerto:  Fiona Sinclair knows she must do all that she can to earn her release from prison. A childhood of neglect, years of homelessness and drug abuse have all but eroded the good in her. When she is given a battered flute as part of her music therapy, she begins to hear again a tune that has enchanted her since childhood, a tune she's  drawn upon to get her through hard times. By chance she learns that her mysterious tune is in fact a  Vivaldi flute concerto recently discovered in an Cistercian abbey, buried there for three hundred years . She is determined to solve the mystery  of how she already knows the concerto's tune. Her searching  takes her, and the reader,  back to 18th Century Venice and into the lives of the famous composer Antonio Vivaldi, his housekeeper and secret lover Paolina Giro and Lord Robert Kerr, a young Scottish nobleman on his Grand Tour of Europe trying to escape his family's demands to join the fight against the tartan clad  rebellious Jacobites.
